a history of brilliance
Marshall Business Network (MBN) is a selective student-run organization that assists exceptionally driven USC students in defining their career path while developing a first-class Trojan network that will help them successfully pursue their personal interests.
We have specialized in achieving these aims since our founding in 2008.
Walking the Talk
Defining the path — We adopt a dynamic approach. Our weekly meetings are tailored to our group's changing interests each semester. We host bi-weekly renowned guest speakers from different sectors of the business world—experts in their field—so that our members can interact with these professionals and learn from their experiences. This empowers members to be exposed first-hand to what working in certain business sectors is truly like.
On the alternate weeks of guest speakers, MBN conducts workshops to teach or refine members skills in a topic that the previous weeks guest speaker brought up as useful in their industry. This give members hands-on experience with tools relevant to the industry to further test if it still sparks a members interest.
Creating the network — We establish a powerful network through relationships we create externally with business professionals and internally with bright Trojan peers.
When we host guest speakers the seminars turn into vibrant discussions feeding off of the energy of our organization, allowing for our members to ask personal queries to the experts. After each seminar, there is a time to personally introduce yourself and continue the conversation if you choose to do so. This allows you to have connections across various industries. Regarding the strong internal network, this organization promotes the interaction and friendship between some great minds at USC through the time you share during meetings, small group (aka family) events, and retreats. We are the future, and mingling with high achieving Trojans and business experts helps us unlock opportunity.
